So much has taken place an yet so little has happened.  I understand the notion that fear can cripple your dreams, and that is what I am working on now.  Pray with me that my dream won't fade and my faith of making the dreams come true are strong and determined.

Sometimes you must sit back and explore! Explore where you are and where you want to be and the best path to go get there.  It is all part of the process and I suppose you can't miss this part to get to where you want to go....so I am processing, looking at options, exploring....  Sweet!

Our dreams do matter!

So much going on and still so much to do.  We have acquired our cupcake display case, a refrigerator and baker's racks......  We are on our way!  We have had several trips to the potential cupcake location to take measurements and think about how things will be arranged.  Realizing more and more our dream is going to become a reality.  Praying for God to bless this business and give us the faith to see it through.

Everyone seems to have a dream, when you finally decide to put your dream in motion, others begin to share their dreams with you and you understand how dreams can become reality, with persistence, faith and determination.  I see that it is a mindset....Thinking successfully-to look at everything as a challenge to overcome instead of a stop sign.  It has taken me a while, but I am beginning to see that what you think and dream about can really happen.

When reporters interview an athlete and ask, "did you ever think you would be here"? the answer they give is "YES"!  They see themselves where they want to be.  Do you see yourself where you want to be?

I want to own a cupcake shop, I see my customers coming into the shop and ordering my cupcakes and its a wonderful feeling.....

I'll keep you posted......

Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.

Had a GREAT meeting with people at SBDC, great people.  If you are opening a business, these are the people to talk to, full of info in your area, invaluable.

So we keep plugging along with our business.

EQUIPMENT: I already have my commercial oven and mixer and pans and such.  I continue to look on cragislist for used equipment. I have a lead on a bakery case and hope it works out.

INVENTORY LIST - Working on our inventory list for SBDC, and the value of those.

Continue to pray for inspiration and am looking forward, always looking forward!

Running a business is like riding on a roller coaster. Although it is fun and exciting, there will be times when you’ll be scared and feel powerless. During the bad times there isn’t much you can do, other than to keep on pushing forward.

BAKING & LOOKING FORWARD!
Baking today, red velvet, nilla vanilla, and chocolate mint! My sweet friend ordered some cupcakes for an event at church.... I'll post pictures later.

We have a meeting set up with our friends at S.C.O.R.E. The Service Corps of Retired Executives is a partner of the Small Business Administration (SBA) which provides counseling and workshops for small business owners. I attended a seminar on opening your own business a few months ago...was great! We are looking forward to meeting with our mentor at the end of this month.
